MBF and González Byass

González Byass, a world leader in the wine and spirits sector, from Jerez de Frontera in Andalusia (Spain), now has 14 wineries and over 100 quality products, including wines, liqueurs, sherry brandy, premium vodke and gin, exporting them all over the world. Over the years, the company, still a family business today, has continued to grow, expanding production in Chile and Mexico.
The attention to product quality for Gonzalez Byass does not stop in the cellar, but continues with the same importance throughout the packaging phase.
In this, MBF has been a trusted partner for the study and realization of its bottling lines. The internationally renowned Italian company is expert in the production of monoblocs composed of rinses, filling machines and cappers for wines and distillates and in the supply of complete turnkey lines.
After more than 25 years since the purchase of the first machine, González Byass has renewed his trust in MBF by purchasing three bottling plants in the same year.
The first two monoblocks are composed of a light vacuum filling machine, the first for the bottling of still wine for productions up to 14.000 bph (bottles/ hour) and the second for distillates from 7.700 bph; the third monoblock, instead, is composed of an isobaric filling machine and is dedicated to sparkling wines from 2.500 bph.
MBF is known for its strong know-how and ability to support its customers in a process of deep collaboration, starting from listening to their needs, up to the construction of plants according to the minimum production requirements, with the aim of delivering their own tailor-made machines. In the case of Gonzalez Byass, considering the different types of products and the wide range of sizes of bottles and caps, MBF has designed and built the three plants aiming at maximum flexibility, with the aim of facilitating the customer during the frequent changes of product and format.
The optimization of these phases leads to a considerable time saving, with the consequent economic gain, thanks to the combination of specific equipment and a dedicated system for washing the plants.
Another solution, which has been appreciated by the winery since the beginning, is the inerting system of the monoblocks; the different solutions studied and developed protect the products from the risk of oxidation, satisfying the customer’s needs.
"Over the last twenty years, a close collaboration has developed with MBF, which has proved to be a structured company able to guarantee effective and efficient services, and at the same time dynamic, always ready to meet our needs with innovative solutions.
Today our plants are running at full speed and I can only confirm with great satisfaction that the promises made by MBF have been kept for all three plants."
Antonio Sanchez, Technical Manager of González Byass Bodega las Copas.
